How MealPrepFinder differs
There are good meal prep review sites. We built something different: a directory of every kind of meal prep product, with prices you can audit.
| MealPrepFinder | Typical review & listicle sites | |
|---|---|---|
| Prices | Per meal, from the provider’s own page, with link and date | Often in text, sometimes undated |
| Missing price | “Price not listed”, never estimated | Varies |
| Stale data | Flagged after 30 days and left out of averages | Rarely shown |
| Cooking yourself | Cook vs buy calculator and planning apps side by side | Usually delivery-only |
| Local kitchens | NYC & Long Island independents listed | Mostly national brands |
| Affiliate links | None today; disclosed if added | Common |
Compared with specific sites
- MealPrepReviews.com lists hundreds of providers with reviews. We list fewer and focus on sourced price per meal and freshness of each price.
- MealPrepZone, MealDelivery.com, WhichMealKit and similar comparison sites focus on rankings and reviews. We don’t rank by opinion; sort is alphabetical or by price.
- Big editorial sites (Serious Eats, Healthline, Bon Appétit and others) do hands-on taste tests we don’t do. Read them for taste; use us for the numbers.
We’re also upfront that we make a meal planning app, MealConductor. See the methodology.
